About C.J.

As a third-generation real estate agent, C.J. brings youthful energy and years of experience to the table. He has a lifelong passion for real estate and an intimate understanding of locations, construction, and the science of the deal. His attention to detail and service-oriented philosophy made him the #1 Team by Transaction Number in Marin County and the #2 Team by Volume in San Francisco at Golden Gate Sotheby’s International Realty in 2021. C.J. works with his mother and partner, Susan Hewitt, and they are among the Top 100 Sotheby’s agents and teams in the world by sales volume. 
 
Born in San Francisco and raised in Marin County, C.J. has a deep admiration of the scenery that makes the SF Bay Area so vibrant. With connections to venture capital, startups, tech companies, and the people who make our social fabric so rich, he’s able to make valuable introductions and leave no stone unturned. 
 
Prior to joining the Sotheby's network in 2015, C.J. started his career in real estate at Coldwell Banker Previews International splitting his time between their San Francisco Pacific Heights and Central Marin offices. He quickly became the #1 REALTOR under 35 and earned the Blue Diamond Award for sales excellence and the 2013 Rising Star award. 
 
While not immersed in the local real estate market, C.J. enjoys long scenic drives to Napa Valley and exploring the vibrant Northern California restaurant scene. A portion of every commission earned is donated to Home for a Home, a non-profit organization building homes for the underserved in Guatemala.
